Jakarta Governor-Elect to Deliver Speech After Inauguration Ceremony

Jakarta Representative Council (DPRD) Deliberative Body has agreed that the Plenary Meeting to deliver the speech of elected Jakarta Governor for 2025-2030 will be held after the inauguration ceremony.

"We agree on February 18-20, 2025, while waiting for its certainty from central government,"

Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Khoirudin mentioned, this agreement was the obtained after discussion in the Deliberative Body (Bamus) meeting held today.

"Today, Bamus sets a schedule for the delivery of the elected governor's speech which is carried out after inauguration and handover of position. We agree on February 18-20, 2025, while waiting for its certainty from central government," he conveyed at Jakarta DPRD Building, Friday (1/31).

The Plenary Meeting is held in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Home Affairs No. 10024. 3/4378/SJ in Affirmation and Explanation Related to the Implementation of National Simultaneous Regional Head Election in 2024.

He explained that after the inauguration, the handover ceremony of Jakarta Governor will be held in conjunction with a Plenary Meeting at Jakarta DPRD Building.

"The handover of the position should be done during Plenary session to save time. Coincidentally, there are no conflicting council activities on that date, so it can easily be agreed upon," he said.

He hopes that the elected Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, can collaborate with City Council in implementing various programs.

"After the inauguration, I hope Mr. Pramono can collaborate with all parties. The city government consists of regional head and DPRD. Thus, we are city government, there is no other. There is no opposition, we are all ready to collaborate," he asserted.
